Anne Darr was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and at the age of seventeen moved to the Florida Keys. She worked at Island Christian School in Islamorada, driving the bus, doing the lunch program and bathroom detail and had five children enrolled. She started up a marine canvas and upholstery business (Custom Canvas) to support her four children and three step children while living on a houseboat she re-built, herself, in Key Largo. In 1988. Anne and her husband Joseph, moved to Nokomis where she has re-established her canvas business ; along with art work that includes pottery, sculpture, jewelry, and painting. She also has three standard poodles that are certified therapy dogs and she has begun a breeding program. |
