 Anne Darr, a Florida Keys resident from 1961 thru 1987, has recently moved to, and re-established her studio in, Nokomis, Florida.

Anne’s first experience with clay came in grade school and then high school in Grand Rapids, Michigan, instilling within her a strong desire to become more proficient in the field of pottery and sculpture, that stayed with her until 1987 when the opportunity opened up to become fully involved.

She has gained knowledge and enhanced her technique through a myriad of books and workshops written and/or conducted by well known potters.  Her skills have been sharpened further by hands-on experience in various studios.

 EXPERIENCE

Seventeen years ago Anne began her career in clay by building with coils, slabs and using the “pinch” method to create her unique sculptures, pots and “Objects de Art”. The perfecting of her own glazes has turned her interest to hand painting and custom designing of ceramic tiles.
